I was sitting at my dining table in the late afternoon working on my computer. Suddenly I feel the air moving and hear a noisy wing flapping sound. I look up to see that a rooster has just crash landed in my kitchen and installed himself in the farthest corner on the counter. He ended up standing patiently and quietly on the top of the microwave for over an hour. I read that in Chinese culture, the rooster is a symbol of auspiciousness and good luck, so I took his visit to be a good sign.
